I think of these paintings as imaginary ports where pollution and grime, the rusted metal surfaces and the reflections in murky water make me long for a clean, pristine light.
They are inspired by my memories of the port areas of Buenos Aires. They evoke, in equal measure, the quiet pleasure and the melancholy of recollections.
